A couple of months ago if you asked me did I thrift shop I would have given you a no. But after I tried it; I was addicted! It's amazing how you can buy items for as little as $1 and turn them in to high fashion. I call this "popping tags on a budget." We always hear celebrities talk about “poppin’ tags” and “splurging”. We want to do it too, but most of us don’t have the means to do it like them. Thrift shopping is our little keyhole to success. Monday night Larissa on The Carrie Diaries said sometimes you have to fake it till you make it. That was some of the best advice i’ve heard all week. I mean if you want to grow up to be a lawyer, dress like a lawyer, act like a lawyer, talk like a lawyer. Soon enough you will achieve your goals. If you want to "POP TAGS" like celebrities you can do it, just thrift! Just walk in knowing what you like and what kind of statement your trying to make and everything will go great. I usually walk in with a budget of $30 and a set of rules. Rule #1 (unlike Shaundrie) GO IN MOTIVATED!
Thrifting is Ideal for college students or if your just on a budget because you can spend a little money on a lot if items. If you have ever been in college you know that money is not flowing like milk and honey. Therefore, it’s to take the spare change that you manage to beg your parents for and buy Items that you can transform into something you’ve never seen before. Not to mention its probably something no one you know has! So Fake it til you make it and remember….Don’t Dress Like Everyone, Let Everyone Dress Like You!
