"I believe that fashion is the ultimate form if self expression therefore it really depends on my mood." ~ Nicole Richie
FALL FASHION 2012
Fall is here! Of course right now we can’t tell, but its coming. Fall happens to be my favorite season. Not only is the weather beautiful, the leaves are falling, and most of all the clothes you can wear. Scarves, cardigans, boots, blazers…are all amazing. A few trends I’m totally looking forward to this fall are Leather+ Denim, stripes, and dark colored pants. Below are a few Fall Must Haves [and ways to wear them OF COURSE].
Stripes and More Stripes
Whether horizontal or vertical, stripes are definitely going to be in this season. Stripes are a rather risky trend because you have to play on the shape of your body. There’s no need to go into major detail on this. Horizontal stripes are definitely the best way to go. Bold striped tops and mini dresses. Skinny stripes can be too much on one’s eyes and can make you look bigger than you actually are.

CardigansCardigans have to be one of my favorite pieces of clothing ever created. Not in the mood to dress up? Jeans, white tee, and a cardigan and you’re good to go. Cool day and you want to wear a mini dress? Throw a cardigan over it, pair it with a belt and boots and ta-da! What I’m really trying to say is you can never go wrong adding a cardigan to your outfit!

Long Sleeve Maxi DressesWith summer gone, you’d think it’s time to put away the maxi dresses, but you’re wrong. No one wants to let go of this dress. It’s comfortable and you don’t have to put much into wearing it. There’s a few kind to look out for this season. The turtleneck maxi, the simple long sleeve maxi, and the high slit, long sleeve maxi. Match it with classic pumps or a pair of slouchy boots. If the dress is long enough, the shoes won’t be seen anyway. Hahahaa, its effortlessness is one of my favorite reasons why I love maxi dresses can make you look bigger than you actually are.

Sweater DressesAn essential! Purchase in various colors, prints, whatever suits you…a good sweater dress is a great addition to any wardrobe. Invest in a quality knit, and it’ll last for years. Wear it alone, throw a belt over it or add a jacket. So many looks can be created, and the best part is, it’s easy to take a sweater dress from the office to after 5. During the day, tone the sex appeal down with a pair of leggings and knee high boots. In the evening, opt for bare legs and a great pair of high heeled platform booties.

Sassy in Leather
Leather has to be my favorite trend this summer. Faux leather, real leather doesn't matter…ITS LEATHER! Jackets, Pants, Skirts, OR Dresses JUST WEAR LEATHER! It’s not just for tough chicks; this leather trend is the most fabulous thing this season. Don’t over-do this trend though. Leather skirt and chambray top with pumps. Leather pants, simple top, and a blazer. Leather dress and a blazer. You can wear this look anywhere. School, work, date night, party…ANYWHERE…ITS LEATHER. One last trend…bonus trend per-say…contrast pants. I’m not quite sure what’s going to become of this trend, but I definitely bought a pair from Forever21+. Black and white contrast pants matched with a simple black or white top and classic or platform pumps. These pants can be deceiving to the body shape and size so be careful wearing them. Next month I’ll have a picture for you all of how I wore them.
