Your eyes are the key to your soul; well so are your hands, feet, posture and facial expressions. The gender or race does not matter in body language. Your body language is a nonverbal interpretation of your true feelings. This means a person can tell if you are angry, sad, happy, or afraid just by observing your actions. Every day, professional, romantic, criminal and body languages are the most commonly studied.
There are some universal body language signs that display various emotions. Since body language makes up two-thirds of a conversation, it’s important to understand what a person’s gestures, facial expressions or posture conveys to you. These are emotions that will help you to understand the emotions of a stranger, potential employee, romantic partner or just about anyone.

Body Language: Nature's Lie Detector
This is body position is called the mouth guard. Covering the mouth with a hand is an attempt for the brain to keep the lie from being said. As a listener, if a person displays this behavior, they don't believe you.

The nose touch is similar to the mouth guard. It's just not as telling. The eye rub means "see no evil". A lying person does not want to look a the person they are attempting to deceive.

Anytime we rub or scratch something, it means we are uncomfortable. This is the brain's attempt to self soothe us. Usually, we are uncomfortable when we lie. Therefore, we rub or scratch something.
As the listener: The ear rub could simply be a way of wanting to cover your ears and not listen to the other person speaking to you. The neck scratch simply means, " I don't agree with you." |
When a person is under pressure, they will put their fingers mouth or pull at their neck collar. These are nervous behaviors are usually seen from some that need reassurance. These signs are seen when a lie is told and feel the truth is already known or will be discovered.
