EIGHT WAYS TO MAINTAIN HIGH SELF-ESTEEM
SMILE
Your smile is the most beautiful part of your body. A smile can warm a strangers heart, attract a new potential beau or brighten someone's day. If you smile at someone, they may smile back. Your smile is an inexpensive way of changing your looks. Of all the items you wear, your expression is the most important.

THINK POSITIVE
Focusing on the negative aspects of a situation will only make the situation worse. You have to think positive about whatever you are experiencing, no mater how awful the situation may seem. when you catch yourself being to critical, STOP IT. Say something positive about yourself. Every day, jot down five things about yourself that gives you joy.

FORGIVE YOURSELF
You did WHAT?! Well, it does not matter. We have to learn to accept our mistakes for what they are...mistakes. Now forgive yourself! Everything we experience in life is a learning experience. It develops our character, morals and just makes us who we are. Your character will constantly develop. Accept that you will make mistakes, because everyone will! Remind yourself that everyone excels at different things — it's what makes you unique.

SET GOALS
S - Specific (Significant) and tailored just for you. Work on goals that you want, not your friends.
M - Measurable (or Meaningful) elements are important. Your goal should be something you really want to accomplish (i.e. making the honor roll)
A - Attainable (or Action-Oriented) goals are the ones that you are able to accomplish within your resources.
R - Relevant (or Rewarding) goals actually make you a better person or make a positive impact on your life or someone else.
T - Time-bound (or Traceable) elements are extremely important. This prevents procrastination. Set a desired date for your goal.
BE PROUD OF YOURSELF
Never be ashamed of your knowledge! If you are smart, its okay to let others know. You do not have to fit in with your peers. Do not hid your good grades. If your peers see that you are doing well, it may motivate them to try harder.If you have accomplish self established goals, embrace your success. Never let ANYONE make you feel bad about doing good!
BE REALISTIC
"God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know the difference."
You may have freckles or you may feel that you do not have the perfect smile. However, none of that matters!!! You are beautiful. The things that you may not be able to change make you SPECIAL.Unique. Start to work toward loving yourself the way you are. There was only one you created (unless you are a twin...lol) and no one can be better at being you! LOVE YOURSELF!

HAVE FUN
Enjoy your family and friends. Appreciate the people that are around you. Go to the movies, mall or hang out at home. Do whatever makes you happy. Life is too short not to enjoy all that it has to offer. Do not worry about popularity. When others see the joy in you, more people will want to be around you.
