"Dang, they are out of red tape. Now, I can not make my shoes into red bottoms." ~ Lady in Family Dollar
So here's the thing. We have to live within our means. The price of your clothing does not determine the worth of your spirit. Missy Elliott said it perfectly, "And you gotta wear them jeans again (it's all right)" in her "Wake Up" single. We have to stop living solely to impress others and start living for ourselves. It does not matter what you have on, REAL people like you for whom you are, not what you have on your body.
If you cannot afford Louboutins, Gucci and Louis Vuitton, it's okay to wear Aldo, Bakers, and Aeropostale. But whatever you wear, make sure you are buying within your means. Do not let your bills double to buy a pair of Jordans. Buy what you can afford. I have always wanted a Gucci purse like this:

Could I have bought it? Sure. Why didn't I?! I have a mortgage, car payment, day care, utilities and student loans. I have priorities. I understand the differences between a "need" and a "want". It is extremely important to have fiscal responsibility (make the right decisions with your money).
“Clothes and manners do not make the man; but, when he is made, they greatly improve his appearance.” ~ Henry Ward Beecher
What you wear does not change your character, life, and/or whom you are as a person. The price of your clothing does not define your worth. You can look extraordinary in an outfit from JCPenny's just as you can from Neiman Marcus. Do NOT allow society to make you feel as if you are less than awesome because you cannot afford expensive apparel. YOU define your worth. I have seen a ton of jerks in fancy attire; and, the end of the day, when clothes are off, they are still jerks.
Be awesome in every item of clothing you wear! Maintain you character, morals and good spirited nature and what you wear will not matter. People will love you for whom you are. If they don't, (as my students say) CARE NUN BOUT IT!
